Baby Food

15 homemade baby food recipes, from first smooth purees at around 6 months to soft finger foods by 9 to 12 months. No honey, no added salt or sugar, and clean meats only.

Talk to your pediatrician before starting solids. Most babies are ready around 6 months, when they can sit with support, hold their head steady and show interest in food. Breast milk or formula stays the main food for the first year. Never give honey before 12 months. Add no salt or sugar. Always seat and supervise your baby while eating, and introduce one new food at a time.
